True to time-tested tactics, the Chinese dragon have started fishing in troubled waters of Bangladesh in order to partially neutralize the over-arching influence of the USA deep state in the fundamentalist infested country. The Islamists of Bangladesh have also responded warmly to the dragon’s invitation , having already realized that the upcoming Donald Trump administration in the USA may not be as well disposed to the impoverished country as the outgoing president Joe Biden’s administration is .

As part of the Chinese probing, a delegation of Islamic fundamentalist leaders from Banladesh have been visiting Bejing and other parts of the vast dragon land mass on a ten day ‘courtesy visit’ since November 28.Sources from across the border said that a fourteen member delegation of top Islamic leaders from Bangladesh's Jamaat-e-Islami and "other friendly Islamic political parties" - including the Khalifa Movement, Khalifa Council, Islamic Order Party - reached Beijing on November 28 on what is the second visit to China by the political leaders of the country this month, at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).The touring party is led by Jamaat-e-Islami's central Nayeb-e-Ameer (Vice President) and former Member of Parliament, Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher."This marks the first instance in which leaders from Jamaat or any Islamic party have received an official invitation from the CPC. The delegation is expected to return to Bangladesh on December 5. When asked about the purpose of the visit, Abdullah Mohammad Taher described it as a courtesy visit but declined to elaborate further," said sources.

Earlier in the first week of November a BNP delegation of four leaders also visited China in response to invitation from the Communist Party of China and held discussions there, the contents of which are still undisclosed. Sources said that scenting an opportunity in the current lawlessness and economic turbulence in Bangladesh the Chinese dragon is trying hard to get paly with the BNP and Jamat, the parties most likely to take over power together whenever the election happens. From the Indian diplomatic perspective this does not augur well as with overthrow of Sheikh Hasina and Awami League the Indian options have narrowed down considerably even though the BNP general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir has given a clear indication earlier of his party’s open mind in regard to relation with India. “The government of India should not keep all its eggs in a single basket (Awami League) in stead of exploring all options” Fakhrul Alamgir had said.

Sources said that the new-found bonhomie between the Islamists in Bangladesh and the CPC only exposes the rank hypocrisy, opportunism and power-crazed nature of the fundamentalists in Bangladesh. “What China has been doing to Uigur Muslims in Sinkiang province of south-western China is well known; 1.5 million people are in forced labour camps, mosques, Madrasas have been converted into night clubs and restaurants where Muslim men and women are forced to dance and drink, keeping beards have been barred and there are concealed genocide also and this Chinese establishment is now the new darling of the petty Bangladeshi Islamists only because of their visceral enmity with Hindu India” said sources. They added that with the deadly Chinese embrace economically fragile Bangladesh will only go down the slippery slope of disaster like Sri Lanka and some African countries and ‘it will be too late when the Bangladeshis will learn their lessons’.
