MG Bazar: Time barrier imposed on heavy vehicle unloading

The traffic police enforced a time barrier for loading and unloading of heavy vehicles in Maharaj Ganja market. No heavy vehicle will be allowed to unload goods in the market before 8 pm in the evening, Additional SP of traffic police Sudhambhika R told reporters on Monday. She was speaking to media persons during her visit to the state’s biggest market infamous for traffic congestion and rules violation by goods carrying vehicles.

“We have come here to see the situation from ground zero. The deployment of traffic personnel will be increased here. The owners of the vehicles that are breaking traffic laws are being warned to rectify their mistakes, failure of which would invite legal action in the form of fines and penalties,” she added.

On the time barrier, she said, “A time barrier is imposed on heavy vehicle unloading. All the people had been asked to carry out the unloading and loading of vehicles after 8 pm in the evening. No one will be allowed to park vehicles creating obstructions on the road.”
