The politics of vendetta is on in full swing in Bangladesh reeling under the interim government’s fascist rule with altogether thirteen ministers and high dignitaries of the ousted Awami League government having sent yesterday to jail custody. The thirteen consigned to jail custody by the so-called international crime tribunal include former law minister Anisul Haq , Hasina’s advisors Salman F.Rahaman and Taufiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury , president of workers party Rashed Khan Menon, Former JSP president Hasanul Haq Inu, former civil aviation and tourism minister Md Farooq Khan, social welfare and social education minister Dipu Moni, former jute minister Golam Dastagir Gazi, former information and technology minister Junaid Ahmed, former minister of state for industry Kamal Ahmed Majumder and former MP Shahjahan Khan.
Sources from across the border said that all the jailed ministers , officials and MP had been charged with serious crimes against humanity and produced in the international crime tribunal yesterday. The three member bench of the tribunal headed by Justice Golam Murtaja Majumder ordered to send all the accused to jail custody. Sources said that the two other members of the tribunal are Justice Shafiqul Alam Mehmood and retired district and session judge Md Mohitul Haq Enam Chowdhury. This decision of the tribunal was confirmed to media persons by the chief prosecutor Md Tajul Islam. However the opposition circles in Bangladesh’s atrophied politics said that incarcerating the former officials , ministers and MP of Awami League government selectively is being viewed by larger section of Bangladesh people as political vendetta. The Awami League which has already become operational in many parts of Bangladesh have already decided to hit the streets for an agitation against the vengeful politics and actions of the interim government.
