Recovery of tribal youth’s dead body sparks tension in Lembucherra area

The recovery by police of the dead body of a tribal youth from behind the panchayat office in Lembucherra , twelve kms north of Agartala, sparked tension this morning in the entire area. Police sources said that this morning a group of people on morning walk in Lembucherra came across the dead body of a tribal youth lying behind the panchayat office there and informed police.

The police personnel from Lembucherra outpost reached the spot and identified the dead body as that of Ajay Debbarma (20) , son of Samir Debbarma of nearby Shankar Senapati Para village . The SDPO (Bamnutia) Bijay Sen , officer in charge of Lefunga police station Sahadeb Das , officer in charge of Lembucherra outpost and a number of TSR jawans had rushed to the spot.

Sources said that the dead body of Aajay Debbarma of whom little was known was found to have multiple cut injuries . Police sources could not say how Ajay Debbarma had reached the spot and why he was murdered by whom though forensic staff had reached the spot and collected necessary and available evidence .
