On Saturday, the leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement wrote a letter to the leadership of the National Press Club in Bangladesh, the apex body of journalists in Bangladesh, demanding that 51 top journalists be declared 'national enemies' and banned. Which the journalist community has commented as 'extreme display of arrogance'.

It is known that on August 10, a written letter was sent to the Acting President and Acting General Secretary of the National Press Club to take necessary action against those 51 journalists.Abdul Quader and Abdul Hannan Masud, two coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, handed over the complaint letter. The protesting student body mentioned, "Press Club is a national institution. This press club has always come forward in the difficult times of the nation. But during the Awami League government, this institution became a party institution.

In the written complaint, the student organization also claimed, "We think that their activities under the guise of journalism were against the national interest and against the state." Students are now involved in reforming the state. So that these national enemies cannot harm the country and the nation by breaking the name of the press club or journalism, I request them to be expelled and journalists banned from the arena. We have already requested the government to take legal action against them. Those who have been demanded to be banned are Press Club members Prabash Amin, Zaidul Ahsan Pintu (who lied the most against students), Mozammel Babu, Ashish Saikat, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Sohel Haider Chowdhury, Farzana Rupa, Arif Zebtik, Ashok Chowdhury, Shahjan Sardar, Subhash Singh Roy, Ajmal Haque Helal, Abul Khair, Manjurul Islam (DBC), Pranab Saha (DBC), Naeem Nizam (Bangladesh Daily), Khairul Alam (Indian Intelligence Agency Agent and DUJ Leader), Saiful Alam (Yugantar) , Abed Khan, Subhash Chandra Badal, J.E Mamun, Zafar Wazed (PIB), Shahnaz Siddiqui (BSS), Saiful Islam Kallol (BSS), Pavel Rahman, Azizul Islam Bhuiyan, Syed Borhan Kabir, Shaban Mahmud, Syed Ishtiaq Reza, Molla Amjad Hossain, Shafiqur Rahman, Abul Kalam Azad, Mamun Abdullah (Independent TD), Soma Islam (Channel I), Shyamal Sarkar (Ittefaq), Ajay Dasgupta (Samakal), Alamgir Hossain (Samakal), Shakeel Ahmed (71 TV), Rama Prasad (Samakal), Sanjay Saha Piyal (Samakal), Farazi Ajmal (Ittefaq), Anisur Rahman (BSS), Swapan Bose (BSS), Hasan Javed (NTV), Mithila Farzana (71 TV), Shabnam Azim (71 TV) , Enamul Haque Chowdhury, Deepak Kumar Acharya and Naemul Islam Khan.
