The recent spurt in infiltration of undesirable elements from Bangladesh like ordinary riffraffs looking for avenues of earning and the terroristic Rohingiyas have a lot to do with human traffickers on this side of the order. These fifth columnists act as importers from Bangladesh only in lieu of hefty payments, causing irreparable damage to the country. Even though the state police and paramilitary forces seem to turn a blind eye to the evil reality, it is the Centre that now seems to have spurred the central forces to action.

As part of this personnel of the general reserve police in Agartala railway station today caught two human traffickers engaged in bringing people from across the border. Acting on a tip-off the GRP personnel today nabbed Biplab Karmakar of Sidhai Mohanpur and Bishal Datta of south Golaghati from the Agartala railway station. They are now under interrogation in GRP station and will be produced in court tomorrow.

The officer in charge of GRP station Tapas Das spoke to media persons on the matter and said that they had received detailed feedback about Biplab Karmakar and Vishal Datta and their human trafficking activities. He added that today they found the opportunity to arrest the two traffickers who will be produced in court for remand so that they can be intensively interrogated to trace out the whole network of traffickers operating in the state.
