BJP minority ‘Morcha’ to observe the death anniversary of late president APJ Abdul Kalam

The minority ‘Morcha’ of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit has decided to observe the death anniversary of former president of India, ‘Bharat Ratna’ APJ Abdul Kalam through a a series of programmes from tomorrow. The programmes will include planting of trees, interaction with students and holding of seminars. Announcing this in an interaction with the media the president of BJP’s ‘Minority Morcha’ and former minister Billal Mia said that Dr Kalam (1931-2015) was an eminent aerospace scientist and India’s missile man and it was his initiative and innovative ideas that had made India self-sufficient in missile technology. “The most remarkable thing is that Dr Kalam had never studied abroad but had his education in India and honed his innovative ideas here on Indian soil ; he had contribute immensely to India’s science and technology and the country also accorded him the highest honour by making him President of the republic and conferring on him the highest civilian award the ‘Bharat Ratna’ “said Billal.

He asserted that the new and upcoming generations of Indians need to know how APJ Abdul Kalam had achieved his greatness and how he enriched the country. “By knowing his life-history and contribution the youths of our country can benefit, so we have decided to observe the death anniversary of this great man of India” said Billal.
