Firing has been going on at three places in West Tripura in the last 48 hours. The reason behind all three cases is about the allocation of contract work.

However, no casualty has been reported in the three incidents of firing in Khumlung, Araliya and Mandai of West Tripura district.

It' is reported that unidentified miscreants attacked BJP leader's house in Mandai. Not only that, there was also an attempt to shoot the BJP leader. That BJP leader's name is Ramanand Debbarma.

He is a member of Sadar Gramin District Committee of BJP. Due to the incident, there is intense tension and fear in the concerned area. Yesterday, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury visited the house of the affected BJP leader in Mandai.

It is learned that Ramanand Debbarma, a resident of Ramdas Para under Mandai police station, slept in his room on Wednesday night.

His daughter was in the next room. Suddenly some miscreants vandalized the private car kept in the yard of the house. Hearing the noise, he came out of the house and saw 15 to 20 youths surrounded the house with bikes. Some people threw liquor bottles at him.

Meanwhile, someone raised a pistol and fired at him. But saved for a short time. When he screamed, the surrounding people came running. By that time, the criminals fled from the scene. An FIR has been lodged in Mandai police station in this regard. It's been 48 hours since the incident, the police have not been able to identify anyone. Panic prevails in the concerned area due to the incident. It is known that he was attacked once in Khumlung the day before this incident.

Moreover, last Wednesday in an abandoned market shed of the capital's Araliya market, a secret meeting of local land and drug mafia erupted due to a dispute over the sharing of money. However, the police could not arrest anyone in any case.
