BSF seizes drugs worth Rs 50 lakh from BJP panchayat candidate's house in Dhanpur

Police and BSF jointly raided Bachchu Mia's house in Ward No. 4 of Dhanpur Gram Panchayat of Dhanpur Assembly Constituency on Thursday. Based on secret information, drugs worth fifty lakh rupees were recovered in this operation in Baganbari of the ward. Accused Bachchu Mia is now a candidate for the panchayat election on BJP ticket.

The incident of recovery of large quantity of drugs from the house of BJP candidate has created a sensation in the area.

It is reported that Phencidyl is the major part of the drug seized. The huge quantity of seized narcotics is stored in the BSF's Balladepa camp. BSF's preliminary estimates put the drug value at over Rs 50 lakh.

It is learned that some people tried to attack the BSF with firearms on their way back after seizing a large quantity of drugs. But when the BSF forces threatened to fire, the miscreants escaped.
