CPI(ML) calls to boycott panchayat election, vows to continue fight to restore democracy

The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) has given a call to boycott the forthcoming Panchayat election as the ruling BJP has turned it into a mockery. Partha Karmakar, secretary of the state committee said the ruling party did not allow the opposition party candidates to file nominations and in many cases forced them to withdraw.

He said the ruling party has realized that they don’t have any support among the people and don’t dare to face them. That is why they did not allow the opposition parties to file a nomination. He said the CPI(ML) will not participate in the election but they will continue their fight to restore democracy.
