Three senior bureaucrats were acquitted of contempt of Tripura high court

Three high-ranking bureaucrats and the secretary of the TPSC were acquitted of contempt of court by executing the High Court's verdict along with physical appearance and unconditional apology. Yesterday in the court of Justice T Amarnath Gaur, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Health Director Sanjeev Debbarma, Superintendent of GB Hospital Dr. Sanjeev Debvarma and TPSC Secretary TK Debnath were personally present. According to the instructions of the high court, three officials and the secretary of the TPSC appeared in the high court and apologized unconditionally through an affidavit. Meanwhile, according to the High Court's order, the two writ petitioners, who were denied appointment to the post of doctor, have been offered appointment to the post of doctor in the health department. Justice T Amarnath Gaur acquitted three top bureaucrats and the TPSC secretary of contempt of court by executing the High Court verdict with an unconditional apology. Senior Advocate Purushottam Roy Barman, Advocate Samarjit Bhattacharya and Kaushik Nath were in the case for the petitioners. Lawyers Kohinoor Narayan Bhattacharya and Raju Dutta appeared for the three bureaucrats and the TPSC secretary.

Sources said that the senior officers are very much unhappy that due to the inaction of the government lawyers, they had to appear in court in person.
