BJP unleashed massive violence, No atmosphere of election in the state: Asish Kumar Saha

Tripura Pradesh Congress president Asish Kumar Saha alleged that the ruling BJP has created a fear psychosis across the state, unlashed massive violence, and there is no situation for holding a free and fair election in the state. It is now beyond all doubt that the forthcoming Panchayat Election is going to be a mockery for democracy.

He was talking to the reporters after visiting the Udaipur Congress office which was vandalized allegedly by a group of BJP supporters, computers and other properties were looted. He said the party has already filed an FIR with the police but there is no action. None of the accused were arrested and the looted properties are yet to be recovered.

He said the opposition party supporters are being attacked in different places and one of the CPI(M) workers Badal Shil who was supposed to be a candidate has already died. He said the opposition party supporters were not secured anywhere as they were attacked in the chamber of the BDO OF Tepania Block while they were attending an all-party meeting.
