Seven days traditional Kharchi festival and fair started at fourteenth deity temple from today

Tripura's traditional seven-day long Kharchi festival and fair has started today. This morning, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the 7-day long cultural festival and exhibition at Krishna Mela Mukta Manch in Old Haveli. Inaugurating the fair, he said that the responsibility of delivering this fair of harmony to future generations should be taken. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Fair Committee Chairman and MLA Ratan Chakraborty, MLA Ram Pad Jamatia, Panchayat Samiti Chairperson and others were present in the event.

It is known that nine hundred stalls have been opened in the fair this year. The main priest started the worship with Chantay today early morning.It is reported that extensive security arrangements have been made for the fair this year. West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, IAS himself is said to be supervising all the activities of the fair along with police administration.
