“This hospital is quite old and the people of the state also expect services from this hospital; I came today to inaugurate the new building of the hospital; I have come to know that every day a considerable number of patients come here to avail themselves of the services; so I came to see the condition of the hospital and a decision on how best the old building of the hospital can be utilized will be decided by the government soon” the chief minister told media persons. He said that steps have already been taken to set up an ‘Ayurvedic’ and a Homeopathy medical college and hospital in Tripura and the health secretary has already written a letter to his union counterpart in this regard. “To begin with we will launch an ‘Ayurvedic’ medical college first and then we will go for a Homeopathy medical college; there are certain problems but we will sort them out and the proposed colleges will be duly launched in time” said Dr Manik Saha.
