‘Kokborok’ guest lecturer of BBMC college injured in Scooty accident in front of TCU

In a tragic incident the ‘Kokborok’ guest lecturer of Bir Bikram Memorial College (BBMC) Dinesh Tripura sustained serious injuries when the Scooty he had been driving was pushed hard by a speeding truck coming from the south in front of the main gate of Tripura Central University (TCU). Dinesh Tripura was immediately taken to TMC hospital in Hapania area where he is under treatment. Expressing resentment over the accident Dinesh Tripura’s colleagues in BBMC college said that he had probably been heading for the Tripura Central University (TCU) to examined papers of ‘Kokborok’. Taking exception to the system followed by the TCU for evaluation of examination papers other assistant professors of BBMC , all colleagues of Dinesh Tripura, said that examining papers centrally in the university campus is not compulsory in most of the universities of the country where examiners are given the freedom to evaluation papers at home.

“But for this system Dinesh Tripura would never have been injured like this ; we demand that the university change the system and pray to God that Dinesh survives this accident” said a senior associate professor of BBMC college who is also a colleague of Dinesh Tripura.
