CM takes part in ‘Padayatra’, promise help to cyclone-affected people in Lembutoli

The chief minister Dr Manik Saha who has been spearheading the BJP’s campaign for both the seats of the state for the upcoming Loksabha election today took part in an impressive ‘Padayatra’ (foot march) through the Khowai town in support of party’s East Tripura (ST) seat candidate Kirti Singh Debbarman. While leading the march Manik Saha responded warmly to people greeting him from both sides of the road. After the march he also addressed the party workers and supporters to dedicate themselves to ensuring a resounding victory for the candidate Kirti Singh Debbarman. “It is BJP alone that can strengthen the country and keep its unity and integrity ; it is therefore incumbent upon us to strengthen the hands of prime minister Narendra Modi so that he can lead the country afresh in third term” said Manik.

Yesterday also the chief minister also visited the Lembutoli area under Kamala Sagar assembly constituency in Bishalgarh subdivision . This area had been badly affected by cyclonic storm recently and many houses had been damaged or uprooted . The chief minister during his visit was accompanied by senior officials of the Bishalgarh subdivisional administration and local MLA Antara Deb Sarkar . Dr Saha spoke to people and assured them of all help . He said that he had already passed necessary instructions to the administration to sanction financial assistance to the affected families. The local people also expressed their satisfaction and happiness over the assurances given by the chief minister and his visit to the state.
