Despite the erection of barbed ware fencing along most part of the 856 km long border with Bangladesh, illegal infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals , specially the terroristic Rohingiyas over the past few years have been continuing unabated. What is responsible for this threat to the nation is the massive erosion in the fencing work, a class of anti-national Indian collaborators and lax vigil by the BSF jawans posted along the border. This has come to the fore yesterday with the arrest of a woman from bordering Motinagar area under Bishalgarh subdivision named Parul Akhtar who had been acting as human trafficker from Bangladesh. Police sources said that after interrogating a number of nabbed Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingiyas the Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel had come to know of the name of Parul Akhtar as the trafficker and handed over the name to police personnel in Amtoli. After being arrested Parul Akhtar is now under interrogation and will be produced in court today.

Sources said that the Bangladeshi infiltrators as well as the Rohingiyas have been sneaking into India with help from paid traffickers in search of earning and Indian passports on occasions to migrate to middle east or other developed countries. But these infiltrators have been impacting the demographic balance in many bordering areas , creating also pressure on the local labour market. The terroristic Roningiyas on the other hand are more dangerous as many of them are communally motivated terrorists who did away with the small percentage of Hindus among them even in Rakhine province of Myanmar from where they had been driven away. They constitute a major threat to national security. Recently the union home ministry said that a law of deportation and issue of granting or denying refugee status will be framed on priority basis besides devising means of driving back the Rohingiyas and Bangladeshi infiltrators. This is what we are looking forward to , said a highly placed source in a security force.
