After renowned chemistry scholar Dr Arijit Das who is now a worldwide name in chemistry education, another Tripura student Kunal Choudhury has made a name for himself by adding a new dimension to the study of ‘Periodic Table’ in chemistry. His research paper ‘Periodic Table revisited : Necessities of Rules’ has been published by the highly prestigious journal of American Chemical Society (ACS) . Besides, his research paper was also published by the prestigious German chemistry platform known as ‘Morressier’. His research paper based on basic principles of periodic table, three original and new equations and formula devised by him will help the students of chemistry across the world in an effective manner.

Kunal Choudhury who had his studies in Kailasahar is now pursuing his post-graduation in university of Calcutta after doing his graduation (honours in chemistry) in Calcutta’s Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira college. He said that he had come under the influence of Maharja Tyagibarananda ,secretary of Ramakrishna Mission college in Kailashahar and he had helped Kunal gain admission in Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira college, Belur where he was guided by the Principal Ekchittananda Maharaj. Besides, Dr. Debasish Jana, the head of the department of chemistry in Vidyamandira ,had also guided him in his innovative work. After completion of his research paper and its publication in leading Indian and international journals Kunal took part in lot seminars in Calcutta and other parts of the country. In the year 2022 he had been invited to an international symposium in California but the raging Covid Pandemic that time stood in the way and he had to take part virtually in the symposium. This was followed by the conferment of membership of American Chemical Society (ACS) by the greatest international body of chemistry. Kunal who is the son of CPI (M)’s Unakoti district secretary Krishnendu Chowdhury expressed the hope that his invention on periodic table will help students, teachers and scientists in chemistry.
