Ten-day Samhati Mela inaugurated in Kailasahar, various programs to be organized

The ten-day Samhati Mela was inaugurated at Kailasahar on Monday paying obeisance to Swami Vivekananda. MLA Birajit Sinha inaugurated the mela in the presence of other dignitaries the vice-chairperson of Kailasahar Municipal Council Nitish Dey the secretary of ASHRAY Chandra Sekhar Sinha.

Addressing on the occasion, Birajit Sinha recalled the history of Kailasahar and its close connection with Ramakrishna Mission. Explaining the significance of the teachings of Swami Vivekananda he stressed the need for maintaining national integration and communal harmony.

ASHRAY is planning to observe the Birth Day of Swami Vivekananda with various programs like sports competitions, social and environmental awareness programs, and women-related programs and anti-drug programs. An art competition also will be organized.
