Ambassa police detected a major cyber crime racket in Tripura

The police of Ambasa have detected an online fraud ring that developed in Dhalai district headquarters Ambasa. DSP Jayant Dubey, Ambasa sub Divisional Police Officer Nityananda Sarkar and Ambasa police station OC Biswajit Debbarma were able to nab the three fraudsters following a clue from an online fraud victim. Taking up a case on October 30, the police arrested three persons, Kartik Debnath from Ambasa, Harilal Das and Tushar Kumar from Nalanda. A fraud case has been registered against them. During the preliminary investigation, the police found the whereabouts of 33 bank accounts of these three people. In the meantime, the fraud of these three people has come to the fore.

Police sources said basically money was collected by collecting current and RD bank accounts of common people and creating fraud traps. However, although three people have been arrested so far, the police have come to know that several others are also involved in this fraud ring. Police are not releasing their names and addresses for the sake of investigation. Currently, the three arrested persons are in five-day police remand. The peak of this fraud which emerged from the preliminary investigation of the police is beyond the state, the country and abroad. Police said one of the fraudster belongs to Nalanda.
