Tripura Gana Mukti Parishad decided to launch a massive movement from November 15

Long after losing the base, the Tripura Upajati Ganamukti Parishad (GMP), the tribal wing of CPI(M) has decided to resume their organisational; activities to restore their lost confidence among the tribals in the state. The central committee of the organization in a meeting has decided to launch a massive agitation from November 15 in support of their eight-point demands.

Radha Charan Debbarma, General Secretary of GMP in a press conference said a Central Committee meeting reviewed the situation prevailing in the state and expressed grave concern. He said the people are in a distressed condition due to the anti-people policies of the BJP government. The condition of the hilly people is deteriorating day by day but the government is not taking any steps to save them. The meeting also observed that the BJP-RSS combine has taken a policy of dividing the people on the basis of the religion which is a dangerous trend. The GMP has decided to launch a massive movement in the hilly areas of the state from November 15.
