Xerox businessman brutally killed by drugs addicted school student in Melagarh

Biswajit Debnath, the owner of a Xerox shop near Melaghar School Chowmuhan died prematurely yesterday after being stabbed by an intoxicated drugs addicted school student.It is reported that the intoxicated young man went to Biswajit Debnath's Xerox shop around noon yesterday. The 10th class student of the local English medium school snatched two and a half thousand rupees from the cash box of Biswajit's shop in front of him. The shop owner caught him red-handed. When he wanted to search him, the student took out a sharp knife from the bag and stabbed Biswajit Babu all over his body with the knife. The businessman was immediately taken to Melagarh Hospital. From there he was referred to GB Hospital in bloody condition. But he died on the way due to excessive bleeding on the way to GB hospital. The engineering graduate deceased businessman was approximately 56 years old. He has one son and one daughter. Daughter is a student of NIT Agartala. The boy is a seventh standard student in a local school. After the incident, some traders of Melagarh market blocked the road in front of the police station. The police arrested the accused student from the spot and brought him to the police station. It is reported that the accused boy is addicted to drugs. He was earlier caught stealing from many people's houses in the area for money.
