Ten thousand tons of Queen Pineapple was exported to Uttar Pradesh, growers benefited

The Horticulture Department has sent a contingent of ten tons of Queen Variety Pineapple to Uttar Pradesh creating huge enthusiasm among the growers of Nalkata ADC village and the adjoining areas of North Tripura District. Ranabir Tripura, Superintendent of Agriculture said Uttar Pradesh-based FEO Company imported the fruits. He said the farmers immensely benefited as they get Rs 15 per pineapple weighing approximately 800 grams. The price is much above the current market price.
