Supporters of Tipraland claimant Tipramatha protested against chief minister Dr Manik Saha's comments that Pradyot Bikram Debbarma need not be addressed as Maharaja this afternoon in Takarjala. Demonstrations took place by burning effigies of the Chief Minister. This protest march started from Takarjala Bazar on the initiative of Tripra Matha today afternoon. The procession starts from Takarjala Bazar and goes up to Lampra Ghani and then returns from there and ends at Takarjala Bazar Chowmuhani. And it was there that the effigy of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha was cremated in the presence of Matha activist and supporters.

Notably the Chief Minister of the state Dr Manik Saha afew days ago commented that the people of the state need not to addressed Pradyot Manikya as Maharaja. Because there is no place for king-maharaja in democracy. Today the Tipramatha protesters says that Pradyot Kishor is doing a lot for the tribal people of the state. They will address him as Maharaja for the rest of his life. The tribal people have been felt greatly insulted by this speech of the Chief Minister. As a result, they staged a protest march today afternoon and then burnt the effigy of the Chief Minister. The protest march was led by Jampuijala block Tipra Matha President Atak Moni Jamatia and Pramodnagar TTAADC sub-zonal Chairman Ranjit Debbarma and other party workers and supporters.
