American Chemical Society Confer Recognition to Dr. Arijit’s 38 Formulae in ACS Spring-2023

It is matter of pride for our state, ‘Tripura’ that ‘American Chemical Society (ACS)’ conferred recognition to Tripura's renowned chemical scientist and educationist Dr. Arijit Das working as an Assistant Professor (chemistry), Bir Bikram Memorial College, Agartala through his virtual presentation entitled ‘Formulae Based Time Economic Mnemonics in Chemical Education’ in the ACS conference ‘ACS Spring 2023’ on March 26 2023.
During presentation Dr. Das discussed his 38 invented formulae in the field of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry (UG-PG Level students) along with their implications in designing computer based learning (CBL) activities. Dr. Das started his innovational journey from 2013 and so far published 21 innovative time- economic teaching methodologies and 41 new formulae in the SCOPUS indexed Journal (2013-2021) to remove chemistry phobia from UG to PG level students and make the subject metabolic and intriguing.
Earlier Dr. Das achieved recognitions on his innovations and inventions from the copyright Office, Govt. of India, New Delhi (2018 & 2019); Indian Chemical Society (2015); Federation of African Societies of Chemistry (2018); ERIC, Institute of Education Sciences (IES), U.S. Department of Education (2013-2021); The International Society of Educational Research, US (2018); Lady Stephenson Library, UK (2019); City College of New York, NY (2017 & 2018) etc.
In September 2019, Dr. Das published a book of 182 pages from Cambridge Scholars Pub. England, UK, entitled, ‘Innovative Mnemonics in Chemical Education: A Handbook for Classroom Lectures’ indexed in the ‘British Library’, London.
Dr. Das is a regular Author of ‘chem.libretexts.org’, online library, University of California, Davis, US (since 2015) and ‘WikiEducator’ (OER), Otago Polytechnic, New Zealand (since May 2021) and so far published 09 innovative articles in the University of California, Davis, US and 28 chapters in the WikiEducator.
