Terror with a difference : BJP miscreants indiscriminately attack HS (+2) examinees in Bishalgarh, one arrested

In a bizarre incident of terror a gang of BJP miscreants on Friday had attacked and indiscriminately beaten a number of H.S. (+2) examinees in front of the Office Tilla government higher secondary school. After this daylight attack the examinees had gone in a procession to the Bishalgarh police station and filed complaint giving specific names of the attackers. They had also launched a road blockade on the national highway connecting Agartala with Sabroom via Bishalgarh but the BJP mafias forced them to withdraw the blockade with dire threats and intimidation . On the basis of the complaint filed the police yesterday completed their ritual duty by arresting one of the attackers Shaibal Chowdhury on light bailable sections, letting other offenders abscond from homes. The attack on examinees has caused serious resentment among the people in Bishalgarh.

Meanwhile, in a tragic incident a H.S. (2) examinee of the CBSE board Manisha Saha (18), daughter of Jhantu Saha of Tripura bazar area of the town, had fallen sick while taking her exam in the hall but she recovered and completed her exam. Upon return home Manisha fell sick again and was taken to Belonia hospital where she was treated and allowed to be taken back home. She was under saline at home but fell sick again and was taken again to Belonia hospital where she was pronounced ‘dead’. Manisha’s death has cast a shadow of grief and mourning in the entire Tripura bazar area . Her Younger sister Lipika Saha is also a student of class VI in the Belonia government english medium school.
