Congress demand removal of tainted police officials of Sepahijala district from election duty

The PCC president Birajit Sinha has demanded the immediate removal of SDP (Bishalgarh) Rahul Das, officer in charge of Bishalgarh police station Badal Saha and additional SP (Sipahijala) Ranadhir Debbarma for dereliction of duty and unfair activities in favour of the ruling BJP . In a four page letter in which Birajit cited many instances of their unfair and biased activities have been mentioned , addressing the chief electoral officer Kiran Gitte. Birajit referred to the incident of BJP attack on CPI (M) workers in Charilam on November 30 when an old CPI (M) supporter Shahid Mia was murdered by BJP workers and said that the three tainted officers had manipulated the FIR and charge-sheet to help the FIR-named culprits obtain bail to ensure their acquittal from court finally. He also cited the instance of these officers having beaten up the candidate of Trinamool Shah Alam in Bishalgarh recently.

Birajit clearly said that unless the three tainted officers are removed the election in Bishalgarh will be reduced to a farce. He has demanded immediate removal of the three officers from election duty.
