Sachin ‘Karta’s birth anniversary observed in Rabindra Shata Varshiki Bhawan, blood donation camp of SFI and DYFI

The department of information and cultural affairs (ICA) today observed the 117th birth anniversary of Tripura’s royal scion and maestro Kumar Sachin Debbarman (Karta) through a heart-warming function in Rabindra Shata Varshiki Bhawan. There was a musical programme of songs of Sachin Karta, sung leading local artists preceded by a stirring speech by the information minister Sushanta Chowdhury who discussed the finer points of Sachin Karta’s life and achievements. The programme was a grand success.

Apart from this, the state units of DYFI and SFI, front organizations of the opposition CPI (M), today organized a voluntary blood donation camp in the ‘Chhatra Juba Bhawan’ , state headquarter of the two outfits in the Melarmath area of Agartala . Altogether twenty five cadres of DYFI and SFI including the SFI state president of SFI Sandipan Deb donated blood. The programme was attended by leader of the opposition Manik Sarkar, Kisan Sabha leader Pabitra Kar and CPI (M)’s west district president Ratan Das.
