Medical hub will be developed in the state centered on AGMC: Chief Minister

The state government is looking to create a medical hub around the Agartala Government Medical College. A dental college is also going to start in the state very soon. A delegation of Dental Council of India visited the state yesterday for this purpose. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said this at a function organized at KLS Auditorium on the occasion of 18th foundation anniversary of Agartala Government Medical College yesterday evening. Chief Minister said on the occasion that AGMC is the main medical service center of the state. Agartala Government Medical College cannot be underestimated in any part. The state government has taken various initiatives for the development of this college. Many important medical services are being provided in this college hospital. But it is not properly propagated to the people. Chief Minister Dr. Saha said, Agartala Government Medical College can be developed as an art of excellence. That is why students, teachers and all concerned must take responsibility. Addressing the students, the Chief Minister said that it is not enough to be a bookworm. Must establish themselves as all-rounders.
