AR organized programmes on know army, Har Ghar Tiranga

The Lokra battalion under the aegis of headquarter 21 Sector Assam Rifles and headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) conducted capsule for NCC cadets of THB College, Jamuguri Higher Secondary School, Kusumtola Higher Secondary School, Nagasankar Higher Secondary School and Dakhin Nagasankar school on ‘Know Your Assam Rifles and Army’ at Lokra Garrison on Wednesday.

The cadets were briefed on various aspects of functioning of an Assam Rifles battalion. A lecture was also conducted to impart guidance to the youth on Agnipath scheme. The students were also briefed on different types of entries in Army and Assam Rifles and how to pursue their dream to join various ranks in Assam Rifles and Army. A weapon display and pipe band display was also conducted to instill a sense of pride and motivate the cadets for joining the security forces. A total of 110 NCC cadets and 5 ANOs of 3rd NCC Battalion benefitted with the capsule.

In another programme of 21 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised Flag March in conjunction with KVS Haflong at Haflong, Dima Hasao on Wednesday.

The Flag March was organised as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.The Flag March was conducted to bring awareness among students that Azadi Ka Amrut Mohatsav is a tribute to our freedom fighters by remembering all the important milestones of our freedom movement and their sacrifices.
