On May 11, DGP VS Yadav issued an order to withdraw the police escort of deputy chief executive member of ADC Shri Animesh Debbarma without notice. Tipra Matha leadership strongly condemned the decision. According to them, the main purpose of withdrawing the escort is to undermine the development of the people in the ADC area. Animesh Debbarma, the deputy chief executive member, himself also expressed his displeasure. At a press conference on May 12 in the auditorium No. 1 of the new administrative building in Khumulung, Deputy Chief Executive Member Shri Debbarma expressed his displeasure and said that this measure was taken to serve political interests. He said it was anti-democratic. He also said there was a conspiracy to stop the movement in Greater Tripuraland. Not only that, but the security guards of Dolly Reang, an executive member of the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education of ADC, were also withdrawn, he said.

Animesh Debabra strongly demanded that the security of the ADC executive members and MDCs be provided in the same manner as the state government ministers and MLAs are provided security as per the provisions of the constitution.
