ESIC extends new amnesty scheme

New Delhi, Oct 29, 2026 : The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has extended the New Amnesty Scheme, 2025 till 31st December this year. The scheme which was in effect from 1st October 2025 to 30th September 2026 has been extended for three months on existing terms and conditions. Ministry of Labour and Employment said that with the extension of this Scheme, eligible employers and Insured Persons will have additional time to avail themselves of the benefits of the Scheme.

The New Amnesty Scheme 2025 is a one-time dispute resolution initiative aimed at reducing the backlog of court cases and promoting compliance under the erstwhile Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 Act. The scheme provides a structured mechanism for employers to resolve legal disputes with ESIC for an out-of-court settlement.
