Cyclone Arnab intensified into severe cyclonic storm over Bay of Bengal

New Delhi, Oct 27, 2026 : Cyclone Arnab has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal, and it is likely to further strengthen into a very severe cyclonic storm by this evening. The cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal is moving towards the Andhra Pradesh coast, with landfall expected tomorrow morning.

Odisha is bracing for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, particularly in its southern districts, as the storm approaches the eastern coastline.
