To strengthen grassroots awareness, the JOSH – Joint Squad for Health – campaign was organised on the 13th of October across 11 states and 55 districts on a pilot basis. The campaign brings together MY Bharat volunteers, NCC cadets and government officers to promote early detection, timely treatment and awareness against stigma.
The government has also introduced a shorter, six-month BPaLM treatment regimen for drug-resistant TB patients. India aims to eliminate tuberculosis through sustained healthcare interventions and public participation.
