India is moving towards an end-to-end telecom value chain: Union Minister

New Delhi, Oct 09, 2026 : Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia has said that India is advancing towards an end-to-end telecom value chain, taking a lead in shaping its rules, equipment, and innovation. He made these remarks at a high-level CEO Round Table titled ‘The Sovereign Inflection and The Future of Telecom’ during the 10th India Mobile Congress (IMC) in New Delhi.

Mr. Scindia emphasised the importance of a partnership-based approach between the government and industry in shaping the next phase of India’s telecom journey. He further highlighted the country’s expanding digital ecosystem and telecommunications’ growing role as a foundational enabler for digital public infrastructure, emerging technologies, innovation, and economic growth.

The roundtable brought together senior industry leaders from leading telecom service providers, network equipment manufacturers, technology companies, digital infrastructure firms, and industry advisory organisations. Discussions centred on advancing telecom infrastructure, fostering innovation, and strengthening indigenous capabilities to support India’s next phase of India’s digital growth.

Participants also focused on the rapidly evolving telecom value chain, specifically the convergence of Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, advanced connectivity, intelligent networks, and next-generation communication technologies. They also deliberated on strengthening domestic capabilities, fostering innovation, building resilient digital infrastructure and creating an enabling policy environment to support sustained investment and technological advancement.
