Tripura tribal students interact with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma
New Delhi, Oct 06, 2026 : Fifteen tribal students from Tripura, who are currently on a visit to Mumbai under the ‘Exploring India’ programme organised by Assam Rifles, interacted with Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma today. The interaction was held at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai.
The students, from Assam Rifles Public Schools in Agartala and Udaipur, are participating in the educational tour from October 1 to 11. The tour aims to provide them with exposure to various historical and cultural landmarks as well as educational institutions across the country.
During the interaction, the Governor appreciated the initiative of introducing tribal students from the Northeast to India’s diverse cultural heritage and rich historical legacy. He encouraged the students to make the most of the educational experience and gain a broader understanding of the country’s unity in diversity.
