Opposition has once again exposed itself by misleading on the SIR: BJP president

New Delhi, Sep 27, 2026 : BJP National President Nitin Nabin has said that the Opposition has once again exposed itself by misleading the public on the SIR.

In a social media post, Mr Nabin said, the Election Commission has made it clear that every decision relating to the SIR was taken unanimously by the full Commission.

He criticised Congress for choosing to build its allegations around a manufactured lie and attack the country’s constitutional bodies.

The BJP President said that when the same electoral process delivers victories to Congress and its allies, including in states like Keralam and Tamil Nadu, its credibility is readily accepted.

Mr Nabin said, democracy cannot be respected selectively. Mr Nabin said, wins and losses are an inherent part of democracy, but resorting to malicious propaganda to discredit respected constitutional institutions is deeply unfortunate.
