Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit Mizoram on October 5

New Delhi, Sep 26, 2026 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Mizoram on October 5. According to a government statement, Mr Shah will arrive at Lengpui Airport and travel by helicopter to Thuampui helipad. He is scheduled to attend a programme at the Youth Recreation Centre in Falkland Veng.

Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Lalhriatpuia has issued a notice restricting the parking of vehicles on the road between Lengpui and the Youth Recreation Centre, Falkland, to ensure that the Union Home Minister’s programme runs smoothly on October 5.

The order also prohibits activities that could disrupt traffic along the route and directs all petrol pumps on the route to remain closed during the visit. Those violating the order will face action under the law, the notice said. Shah’s visit may be postponed if any unforeseen circumstances arise.
