Smriti Mandhana becomes first cricketer to score 11,000 runs in women’s internationals

New Delhi, Sep 22, 2026 : India’s women’s opener Smriti Mandhana has created history, as she has become the first cricketer in the world to score 11,000 runs in women’s international cricket. Smriti made this record during the Asian Games final against Sri Lanka at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin. Mandhana smashed three sixes and three fours in the first four overs to get India off to a blistering start. She surpassed former Indian captain Mithali Raj’s record of 10,868 runs.
