TRIPURA CM HOLDS BJP ORGANISATIONAL MEETING

New Delhi, Aug 19, 2026 : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended a high-level organisational meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Agartala on Monday to discuss preparations for the upcoming Village Committee, Agartala Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council elections in the state.

The meeting, held at the Government Guest House, was attended by BJP Tripura Pradesh President Abhishek Debroy, state party in-charge Dr Rajdeep Roy, members of the state council of ministers, MLAs and senior office-bearers.

The discussions focused on strengthening the party organisation and finalising strategies for the upcoming elections. Leaders also reviewed organisational issues and preparations required to ensure the party’s readiness for the polls.

Meanwhile, Saha on Sunday attended two blood donation camps in different parts of Agartala and highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation.

The Chief Minister participated in a camp organised by Nava Aikya Club at Battala Pukur and another organised by Mukti Club at Ramnagar Girls’ School.

Addressing the programmes, Saha said donated blood can help save lives during medical emergencies and appreciated the organisers and donors for supporting the humanitarian initiative.

He also urged clubs and social organisations across Tripura to organise more blood donation camps and contribute to community welfare.

Saha further appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs and engage in constructive and socially responsible activities, stressing the need for collective efforts to build a healthy and drug-free society.
