West Bengal govt reconstitutes Backward Classes Commission

New Delhi, Aug 07, 2026 : The state government of West Bengal has reconstituted the Backward Classes Commission. The four-member commission will be headed by Ranjit Kumar Bag, retired Justice of the Calcutta High Court. The other members are retired IAS officers Naveen Prakash and Roshni Sen. A serving WBCS (Executive) officer, Kanchan Chaudhury, is the Member Secretary of the Commission.
