PM congratulates Indian contingent on impressive performance at Glasgow

New Delhi, Aug 03, 2026 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Indian contingent on its impressive performance at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. In a social media post, Mr Modi expressed pride in the contingent’s performance and expressed happiness that India has won 39 medals, including 13 gold medals. He congratulated all the medal winners on their remarkable achievements.

The Prime Minister said that throughout the Games, India’s talented athletes displayed exceptional skill, determination and dedication. He noted that their hard work will continue to inspire the country’s youth. Mr Modi also extended his best wishes to the entire Indian contingent for their future endeavours and expressed confidence that they will continue to give their best and bring greater glory to the nation.
