CHANDRABABU, PAWAN KALYAN APPEAL TO PEOPLE TO STAND BY PM

New Delhi, Aug 01, 2026 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday voiced strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging people to stand by his leadership amid criticism directed at him during recent protests.

The two leaders, whose parties—the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Jana Sena Party (JSP)—are allies of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), addressed a public gathering alongside the Prime Minister during the inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district.

Naidu described Modi as the “right man at the right time” and said India was fortunate to have a leader with extensive administrative experience.

“Mr Narendra Modi is the right man at the right time and at the right place. The nation is blessed with his leadership. I appeal to the entire nation to think of one thing—without him, we can’t imagine 2047,” Naidu said.

Calling Modi the “tallest leader” in the world, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister said the Prime Minister had enhanced India’s global standing and urged people to support his leadership.

“All of us have to stand with him,” he said, encouraging the audience to express their support.

Naidu said many democratic nations were facing leadership challenges, while India had the advantage of “tested leadership.” He credited the Prime Minister with driving the country’s progress over the past 12 years, particularly in digital public infrastructure.

“Today, I can proudly say that the world’s largest digital transactions are happening not in America or China, but in India. That is the work Narendra Modi has done,” he said.

He also highlighted initiatives such as Jan Dhan, the JAM (Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile) trinity, direct benefit transfers (DBT), infrastructure expansion, high-speed rail, ports, metro projects, green energy, the Goods and Services Tax (GST), and welfare schemes, including Ayushman Bharat.

Naidu said Modi’s governance had strengthened India’s global position and reiterated that the Prime Minister was capable of leading the country towards becoming a developed nation.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also expressed support for the Prime Minister, saying he was distressed by the language allegedly used against Modi during a recent protest at Jantar Mantar.

“The abusive words used for the Prime Minister brought tears to my eyes,” he said.

Pawan Kalyan praised Modi’s work ethic and leadership, saying the Prime Minister had devoted himself to the country’s development.

“There is no leader in India who can surpass you, nor will there be,” he said, adding that leading a nation of over 140 crore people required extraordinary commitment.

Referring to Modi’s reported remarks about forgiving those who criticised him, Pawan Kalyan said the Prime Minister’s response reflected his character. He also called for ensuring that Modi remains in office “for as long as he wants.”

The Jana Sena Party chief further urged parents to instil values and civic responsibility in young people to help shape responsible citizens.
