IMD forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall

New Delhi, Jul 25, 2026 : India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha and Rajasthan today. According to IMD, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Karnataka and some parts of Northeast India may experience heavy rainfall for the day. The Met Department also predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty wind over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
