IMD forecasts 12-state heavy rainfall alert
New Delhi, Jun 10, 2026 : India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that Delhi-NCR is expected to experience significant weather changes over the next three days, with thunderstorms, dust storms, and rainfall likely to bring much-needed relief from the scorching temperatures. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Coastal Karnataka and Sub Himalayan West Bengal likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places during the day.
The weather agency further predicted heavy Rainfall at isolated places over Bihar, Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Telangana during the day. Meanwhile, Haryana, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan to experience heatwave conditions.
