BJP criticises LoP Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trips

New Delhi, May 14, 2026 : The BJP today hit out at the Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, over his foreign visits. Briefing the media in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that Mr Gandhi has been in public life for the last 22 years and during the period, he has undertaken 54 visits. He alleged that the estimated amount of 60 crore rupees was spent by him personally on his foreign visits. He said the trips do not include any foreign travel undertaken as part of any committee, Government of India delegation, or Parliamentary committee. Mr Patra alleged that Mr Gandhi has travelled abroad multiple times. He added that while these tours are public, their funding is not public.
