Delhi govt approves pay hike for vocational & samagra shiksha teachers
New Delhi, May 06, 2026 : Delhi Government has approved a substantial increase in the salaries of vocational teachers and those working under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that around 1 thousand one hundred thirty vocational teachers in Delhi, who provide skill-based training across various disciplines, will now receive 38 thousand one hundred rupees per month.
She added that the salaries of teachers working at 784 centres under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan have been raised from 21 thousand rupees to 35 thousand 420 rupees per month.
Mrs Gupta said that the hike is expected to strengthen teachers’ financial security while also boosting morale.
She further said that this is not just a financial decision but recognition of the dedication and hard work of teachers who operate in challenging conditions to bring children into the fold of education.
