Nagaland launches ‘100 days Ayushman student coverage mission’

New Delhi, May 06, 2026 : Nagaland has taken a major push to expand health coverage of its younger citizens, with the launch of the ‘100 Days Ayushman Student Coverage Mission’. The Mission is being rolled out across the state from May to August led by the Nagaland Health Protection Society in collaboration with the district administrations.

Under the initiative, registration and Ayushman card generation camps will be held in selected educational institutions to enroll eligible students under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme. The mission aims to strengthen student health security through universal registration and improved access to healthcare benefits, reaffirming the government’s commitment to universal health protection.
