Amit Shah congratulates West Bengal voters

New Delhi, Apr 24, 2026 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday congratulated the voters of West Bengal for casting historic votes in the first phase of the state Assembly polls. In a social media post, Mr Shah lauded the voters for shattering all records of participation in the grand festival of democracy.

He also congratulated the Election Commission, Central Armed Police Forces, and West Bengal Police for ensuring the most peaceful and secure voting in the history of Bengal. Mr Shah termed this participation as a clarion call for a new era of good governance in the state.
