Mahatma Phule made unprecedented contributions for women education: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Apr 11, 2026 : Home Minister Amit Shah today paid tributes to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his birth anniversary. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that Jyotiba Phule was an eminent educationist who treated education as the most effective medium for social reform. He said Mahatma Phule made unprecedented contributions to women’s education and worked tirelessly for their empowerment. The Home Minister highlighted that by establishing the Satyashodhak Samaj, Jyotiba Phule made a significant contribution towards promoting equality, justice and social harmony in society.
